Atlanta native Chip Wade has building in his blood. Coming from a long line of experienced engineers, carpenters and craftsmen, Chip began working with his father at an early age -- and over the years developed an interest in design and the creation of one of a kind builds. After graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech, Chip focused his attention on building electrical system integrations on fighter aircraft like the F22 fighter jet and Apache helicopter. Chip is a true creative, engineer and hands on creator with proficiency in mechanics, metal fabrication, carpentry, electronics and systems integration. From architectural design to backyard games, Chip lives to make something amazing -- and have fun while doing it!

Chip transitioned into media in 2007, lending his carpentry skills to the Atlanta team of HGTV’s Designed to Sell. Since then, Chip has appeared on HGTV’s Elbow Room, Curb Appeal: The Block, Ellen’s Design Challenge, HGTV’s Design Star, Wise Buys, Super Great Rooms, Hotel Impossible, Oprah, Rachel Ray, The Weather Channel, Fox News, NBC and CNN. Chip is currently producing interactive, user driven digital experiences for brands and networks in the home and lifestyle category.

As an Emmy Award-winning host, designer and executive producer for networks such as HGTV, FOX, FOOD and DIY, Chip has become known for his creative direction and innovative problem solving. Whether it’s designing a renovation perfectly tailored to a family’s lifestyle or crafting a cutting-edge video production and immersive digital environment for brands to better connect with their customers, Chip’s vision always pushes the envelope of what’s possible and resonates with the every-day homeowner and Fortune 500 companies alike.
